About

Tessa SheppersonHello, I am Tessa Gee, the author of this blog.

I have been interested in green issues for many years, but since studying geography at University, have not really been able to do much about it, until now.  I trained as a lawyer and over the past 15 years or so, have been busy developing my legal practice (I blog professionaly under my business/maiden name of Tessa Shepperson at www.landlordlawblog.co.uk), as well as getting married and having a family.

These things have left little time for much work for the green cause, although I have done what I can.  I have from time to time grown vegetables.  I have tried to recycle whenever I can, and I have never learned to drive (my gift to the planet).  During this time the problems of impending climate change have steadily become more apparent, until all but the most ostrich like among us, have to admit that something must be done.

My husband Graeme and I have therefore joined our local Green party.  We live in Norwich, a beautiful medieval cathedral city in Norfolk in East Anglia, UK.  There is strong support for the Greens in Norwich and we have the largest number of green councillors in the country.

So this is a green blog, supportive of the local Green Party.  It will consist mainly of pieces highlighting interesting green technology, comments on local news and issues, green events I attend, and my attempts to live a greener life (including the trials and tribulations of growing food in the garden).
